How To Export Your Data
Step 1: Go to Google Takeout
On a computer or mobile browser, go to takeout.google.com. Make sure you're logged into the Google account associated with your child's YouTube.
Step 2: Deselect All, Select YouTube
Click "Deselect all" at the top. Scroll down and check only "YouTube and YouTube Music."
Step 3: Configure YouTube Data
Click "All YouTube data included." Deselect everything except: "history," "playlists," "subscriptions," and "liked videos." These contain the algorithmic influence data we analyze.
Step 4: Choose Delivery Method
Scroll to the bottom and click "Next step." Choose "Send download link via email" and select "Export once." Choose file size (2GB is fine for most users).
Step 5: Create Export
Click "Create export." Google will prepare your data, which usually takes 2-8 hours depending on account size.
Step 6: Download the Archive
When ready, you'll receive an email with a download link. Download the .zip file (it may be split into multiple files if large).
Step 7: Upload to Wolense
Upload the YouTube data .zip file through Wolense: "New Analysis" → YouTube. If data is split into multiple files, upload all parts. Report within 48 hours.
Data Included: Watch history, liked videos, subscribed channels, recommended content, search history over entire account lifetime (or selected range).
